11th National Conference on Recent Advances in Chemical, Biological and Environmental Sciences Concludes at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

A two-day 11th National Conference on Recent Advances in Chemical, Biological and Environmental Sciences (RACES-2023) concluded today at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala by Chief Guest Dr. Padma Kumar Nair, Director, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology and Guest of honour Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director, Pushpa Gujral Science City, Jalandhar. The key-note address was delivered by Dr. Ashok Malik, Prof. and former head, Department of Chemistry, Punjabi University, Patiala. The conference was inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana.
College Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest, Keynote speaker and participating delegates. He said that our current paradigm of development is based on profit driven technological advancements and over-utilization of natural resources which is resulting in massive degradation of environment and human conditions. He encouraged the future researchers to develop an eco-friendly sustainable model of scientific development and test new innovations and technology on the parameters of human wisdom.
Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Convener of the conference discussed the objectives and thrust areas of the conference and informed that around 200 delegates from seven Indian states and two Union territories are participating in this conference. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, head of Biotechnology Department told that in this conference the delegates are focusing on utilization of scientific knowledge for betterment of human communities.
In his address to the young researchers and scientists Dr. Padma Kumar Nair said that the notion of excellence is the product of empathy and can be obtained by working for the welfare of others. He motivated the students to follow three scientific rules to achieve excellence- to work for self-knowledge (who am I and where I am heading to), what is our dream for humanity and to work with complete intellectual freedom.
Dr. Rakesh Grover congratulated the College authorities for organizing this conference and elaborated upon recent innovations and research in the areas of Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Environment Sciences. He said that these areas are inter-disciplinary and from the problem of water pollution to the concept of environmental justice, as scientists and policy makers our focus should be on development of socially responsible solutions with special focus on use of innovative technology to adverse the impact of climate change, depletion of energy resources and challenges to human health.
In his keynote address Dr. Ashok Malik discussed novel electrochemical synthesis and characteristics of Zn (II) and Cu (II) metal organic frameworks for photo-catalyst and sensing application. He motivated the students to develop imaginative thought processes for becoming socially responsible scientists.
The dignitaries also released souvenir-cum-abstract CD on the occasion.
The first technical session was conducted by Dr. Anupama Parmar, Department of Chemistry, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. Prof. (Dr.) P.S. Panesar, Department of Food Engineering and Technology, SLIET, Longowal discussed the valorization of food by food processing waste by green biotechnological techniques to circumvent the problems related to waste management and production of value added products from waste.
Discussing his findings, Dr. Naveen Gupta, Department of Microbiology, Punjab University, Chandigarh discussed about achieving water sustainability through Innovative approach of using bacteria for processing and application of treated sewage water.
The second technical session was chaired by Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Department of Chemistry, Kurukshetra University. Thirty research scholars presented their research paper in this session. The third technical session also consisted of poster presentations by young researchers and scholars, a total of 50 posters were displayed.
In the poster making competition first position was won by Noorpreet Kaur, the second position by Arvinder Kaur and Rachita and the third position bagged by Angelena and Prachi. From the Chemical Sciences section first position was won by Rohit, the second by Rajveer Kaur and the third position was bagged by Aswari Arali.
In the Biological and Environmental Sciences section, Sonu Sharma was in first position, Monu Sharma won the second position and Shalu Sharma stood third. In the Biological Sciences Gunveen stood first and Dishani was declared winner of second position. In Chemistry section Richa stood first and Indu Sharma was second.
A cultural programme was also presented by the students in the evening.
On the concluding day of the conference the third Technical session in the morning, witnessed two invited talks by eminent scientists. Prof. (Dr.) Felix Bast, Head, Department of Botany, Central University, Bathinda talked about the Indian Mission to Antarctica and Explorative Research in Chemical, Biological and Environmental Sciences. Dr. Manmohan Chhibber, Department of Chemistry, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala in his lecture talked about exploring substituted phenyl ethers as receptors and the journey and challenges their team faced to develop a system for quantifying toxic mercury ions in urine samples.
In his concluding remarks the chief guest Prof. Jatinder Sharma, Dean life Sciences and Prof. Department of Biotechnology, Kurukshetra University said that such platforms are crucial for developing the analytic and critical thinking skills.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ‘ਰਸਾਇਣਕ, ਜੀਵ-ਵਿਗਿਆਂਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਰੁਝਾਨ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ 11ਵੀਂ ਦੋ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ( ਰੇਸਜ਼-2023) ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਕੀਤਾ । ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਡਾ. ਪਦਮਾਕੁਮਾਰ ਨਾਇਰ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਥਾਪਰ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਡਾ.ਰਾਜ਼ੇਸ਼ ਗਰੋਵਰ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਪੁਸ਼ਪਾ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਾਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਟੀ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕੁੰਜੀਗਤ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਡਾ.ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਮਲਿਕ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁਖੀ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਤੁਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਜੋਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਜੱਵਲਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਵੰਦਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਆਏ ਡੈਲੀਗੇਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦਾ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਮਾਡਲ ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੰਧਾਧੁੰਦ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਾਇੰਸਦਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਘੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ-ਪੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਵਾਦੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮਾਡਲ ਸਿਰਜਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਇੰਸਦਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਜ-ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਟੇ ਡੈਲੀਗੇਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਡਾ. ਪਦਮਾਕੁਮਾਰ ਨਾਇਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਉਤਮਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਚਣ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਘੋਖ ਕਰਨ (ਮੈਂ ਕੌਣ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ), ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੰਜੀਵਤ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ.ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਗਰੋਵਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਰਸਾਇਣਕ, ਜੀਵ-ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਰੁਝਾਨਾਂ, ਖੋਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਕਾਢਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਖੇਤਰੀ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਾਣੀ-ਪਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ-ਇਨਸਾਫ ਤੱਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਤੀ-ਘਾੜ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ, ਊਰਜਾ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਮਲਿਕ ਨੇ ‘ ਨੋਵਲ ਇਲੈਕਟਰੋ-ਕੈਮੀਕਲ ਸੈਥਸਿਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਕਰੈਕਟਰਸਿਟਿਕਜ਼ ਆਫ Zn (II) ਐਂਡ Cu (II) ਮੈਟਲ ਆਰਗੈਨਿਕ ਫਰੇਮ ਵਰਕ ਫਾਰ ਫੋਟੋ ਕੈਟਾਲਿਸਿਟ ਐਂਡ ਸ਼ੈਸਿੰਗ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ’ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਖੋਜ-ਸਿਟਿੱਆਂ ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਕਲਪਨਾਸ਼ੀਲ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਵੀਨਰ-ਕਮ-ਐਬਸੈਟਿਕਟ ਸੀ.ਡੀ ਵੀ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ 200 ਡੈਲੀਗੇਟਸ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 152 ਐਬਸਟ੍ਰੈਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਬਾਇਉ-ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਨਵ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਢੁੱਕਵੀਂ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਪਰਚੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ. ਅਨੁਪਮਾ ਪਰਮਾਰ, ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਡਾ) ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਪਨੇਸਰ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਫੂਡ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨੌਲ਼ੋਜੀ, ਸੰਤ ਲੌਗੋਵਾਲ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿੂਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਲੌਗੋਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡੱਬਾ-ਬੰਦ ਭੋਜਨ ਉਤਪਾਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਸਨਅਤੀ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਸਟ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਗਰੀਨ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦੱਦ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਵੇਸਟ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੱਜਿਠਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਡਾ. ਨਵੀਨ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਮਾਈਕਰੋਬਾਇਉਲੋਜੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜੀਵਾਣੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦੱਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੇ ਸੀਵਰੇਜ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਦੂਜੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਡਾ. ਰਾਮੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ, ਕੁਰੂਕੁਛੇਤਰ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 30 ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜਾਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 50 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਨੂਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਦੂਜੇ ਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੁਚਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਐਂਜਲੀਨ ਤੇ ਪਰਾਚੀ ਰਹੇ।ਕੈਮੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਹਿਤ, ਦੂਜੇ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਸਵਰੀ ਅਰਾਲੀ ਰਹੇ। ਇੱਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਾਇਉਲੌਜੀਕਲ ਤੇ ਇੰਨਵਾਇਰਮੈਂਟਲ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਦੁਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਮੌਨੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਲੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਰਹੇ।ਬਾਇਉਲੌਜੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਨਵੀਨ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਰਹੇ।ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਰਿਚਾ ਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਦੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਰਹੀ।
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤੀਜੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ) ਫਲੈਕਸ ਬਸਟ, ਮੁਖੀ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਬਾਟਨੀ, ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਨੇ ਐਟਾਰਟਿਕਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਖੋਜ-ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ.ਮਨਮੋਹਣ ਛਿੱਬਰ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ, ਥਾਪਰ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੌਜੀ ਨੇ ‘ਸਬਸੀਚਿਊਟਿਡ ਈਥਰਜ਼ ਐਂਜ਼ ਰਸੈਪਟਰਜ਼’ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੋਜ-ਕਾਰਜ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਈਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡੀਨ ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਬਾਇਉਟੈਕਨੌਲੌਜੀ, ਕਰੁਕਛੇਤਰਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੋਚ ਤੇ ਆਲੋਚਮਾਤਮਿਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਡਾ. ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਾਧਵਣ ਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਅਧਿਅਪਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਰਿਹਾ।
